Claudius Vincenz is a member of the lab team of the longitudinal study of the Dogon of Mali, housed at the Research Center for Group Dynamics. His background is in molecular and cellular biology, with a special interest in histone modifications and epigenetic mechanisms that involve chromatin. The research group relies on him for molecular expertise to design and execute the laboratory part of the epigenetics project. He has also gained an understanding of the field work and an appreciation for the field team and the study subjects during extended stays in Mali.
