BIO

Natalie Leonard investigates, designs, and employs human-environment interaction and simulation research methods, managing research design and implementation for RCGD’s HomeLab: the simulated, one-bedroom apartment that enables the simultaneous collection of behavioral and physiological data to address pressing interdisciplinary questions. In recent years, she has consulted and provided research services to faculty and staff from across the University, including from Michigan Medicine, biomedical engineering, design science, kinesiology, mechanical engineering, business, and architecture. Natalie is a founding member of the U-M HomeLab’s Simulation Network, an elected official and board member of The Architecture Lobby, and a Ph.D. student in architecture at the A. Alfred Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning. Her research is published in the Journal of Clinical Nursing, the Gerontological Society of America’s Innovation in Aging, and the Journal of Architectural Education.
