Research focus is on cognitive function in different populations. Current projects include the role of sensory function on cognitive performance in older adults; attention and working memory in Fibromyalgia patients; functional neuroimaging (fMRI) of working memory in Fibromyalgia patients; cognitive function in adolescents at risk for developing substance abuse disorders; impact of alcoholism and cigarette smoking on cognitive function in adults; and the role of genetics and personality on behavioral control.
