Debra joined the center as a temporary Research Assistant working part-time in 2000.
She has since become a permanent staff member working as a Research Administrative
Assistant for Jere Johnston on his two key projects; Project Ideal and Adult Education
Online. She is actively involved in proposal writing and working directly with the
funding agencies. She also plans numerous conferences and workshops that the projects
host. Debra enjoys golfing, knitting and playing Bunko with friends when she is not at
the office. She is a very family oriented person who loves being with her husband, and
their two children. She also somehow finds time to volunteer at The Ann Arbor Thrift Shop,
a shop that sells high quality, gently used items to the public and using the proceeds to
aid residents in the Ann Arbor area.
